Seriously, I haven't drawn anything in practically forever. Leave it to college to sap all of my time/creativity into writing essays and whatnot. I honestly forgot about deviantart for at least the last year. (Heck, apparently my daughter is on here now. Gonna be watching her- she's better than me.) Maybe that's the other thing. She's better than me. Oh, and I no longer have photoshop or any good drawing program. (Anyone know of a good, free or cheap ($20ish) drawing program? That'd be great...) So, ya. Hi. I'm going to try to poke around more, even if I'm not drawing. Ok? Ok.

I like to draw, never seem to have the inspiration, time, and tools together all at once, though. But I did at least have a little time to doodle up some background-y kind of thing in photoshop. Too bad it needed a "preview image" at first that just about made me want to kick DeviantArt to the curb! I managed to change my file type so that it didn't need the preview image, but myyyy goodness, what a pain. And I still don't know how to use a preview image. Anyone? Lil help?

Ok. So, while I love my bamboo drawing pad I got last year, and I have an awesome new laptop this year, I've realized that nothing really beats drawing by hand. I now prefer regular thin paper, with a .5mm pencil (and a .25 pen for inking) and scanning in my drawing before pulling it into photoshop for re-inking and coloring. There are a few problems with this now. 1. Photoshop is not installed on my computer. I can not bring myself (yet) to try to learn Corel Painter, even though I've heard 'tis better to draw with. I'm in a rut with photoshop, and I like being stuck in my ways. 2. My scanner has died. The Epson multi-functional printer/s
